The Philips DECT 211 phone is designed to give no-nonsense yet high-quality cordless performance. Incorporating the same advanced audio technology and rapid antennae selection system as all other models in this Philips DECT family, it gives users the reassurance of virtually interference-free mobility in domestic phone use. It is designed for complete ease-of-use, with a 10-character alphanumeric display for showing caller name and number details as well as phonebook entries (two separate lists of up to 20 names each can be created). There is also a hands-free facility for carrying out a conversation while the handset is still on the base station.The DECT 211 base station has a paging key to facilitate finding the handset. Pressing the key causes the handset to emit a tone that reveals its location.
