SUPER-PAD
CHARLY® Pack of 2
This unique
and revolutionary design of pad incorporates several different layers,
each with their own function, special fibres and a complex surface
construction to enable results not
previously obtainable from pad
cleaning.
(Patent pending; No.
10253647.3.)
Integrated Suction Core - recovers soil from surface.
High duribillty - provided pads are used on even surfaces,
each pad should clean up to 5,000
m²
- very
economical.
Suitable
for Cleaning:
ALL textile floor coverings:
Velour, loop pile, needlepunch, jute, sisal etc.
Hard floors
Fine stoneware, hard-stone flooring, Altro safety
Flooring, studded rubber flooring etc.
Mode
of use:
Normally used with a
rotary
(160 - 240 rpm.)
Owing to its special suction core structure, the Super-Pads require
special, detergent-free cleaning agents, e.g.
For textile floor coverings:
M-Power, Solution No. 2, Solution No. 4 or
Solution No.9, dependant on fibre content and degree of soiling.
For cleaning hard and stone floors:
M-Power, Alkallo®, Kristallo®
and Solution No.8 Fine Stoneware Cleaner CLEANER S should be
used. Please note: Other products, particularly those containing
detergents, destroy the function of the pad. Strongly acidic cleaners
(e.g. pH 1-2) will, in prolonged use, impair the suction core structure
of the pad.
Further Cleaning advice:
Always use the pad in pairs and work with a wet-mop
trolley. One pad should be kept submerged at all times in clean water
in one of the buckets. Before starting, squeeze the pad thoroughly (at
least twice) from both sides. This squeezing determinates the moisture
content of the SUPER-PAD CHARLY® (SPC). Thus, while one pad is
in use, the other is kept submerged in the bucket ready for use. This
procedure is necessary to allow the suction core sufficient time for
efficient dirt release / relaxation.
Special Advice:
SUPER-PAD CHARLY® (SPC) is a pad for wet cleaning
that absorbs moisture and soiling. For cleaning textile floor coverings
the monobloc machine should not be placed on the pad until the work is
ready to be started, otherwise the weight of the machine will press
dirt and water into the substrate. This also applies when the machine
is not in use. It is advisable to start work in the middle of the area
to be cleaned - not at the edges - because this procedure
leads to a more even appearance of the substrate.
The cleaned textile surface will be passable after approx. 20-45
minutes, depending on the moisture content of the pad and the air
humidity. After a week of intensive use the pad should be
machine-washed (40°C) without the use of a softener. We also
recommend this machine-wash if tenacious stains and dirt remain in the
pad or when a different substrate chemical is used. Any residues of
previously used cleaning agents should be thoroughly washed out in
order to avoid damage to sensitive surfaces. It is, therefore,
advisable to work with two sets of two pads each., i.e. one set for
cleaning textile floor coverings and one for hard surfaces and stone
floors. Should the pad become covered with fluff, simply brush off.
Owing to the special structure of its back, the SPC requires a full
function disc that ensures sufficient adhesion. After several
applications the SPC becomes softer and more flexible and can be better
squeezed. A machine wash at 40°C before the first use leads to
the same effect.
Coverage/Durability/Storage:
In exposed, free areas it is possible to treat
80m²/hour. The pads are normally durable for up to 5,000
m², but may have a shorter life when they are subjected to
greater mechanical stress, e.g. in the cleaning of structured tiles
(security tiles or uneven surfaces). A special plastic box with
ventilation holes has been developed for SUPER-PAD CHARLY®
(SPC). Since the pad requires up to two days to completely dry out it
is necessary to ensure a constant air flow to prevent the formation of
mildew stains.
All recommendations are based on practical experience, but should be
modified, if necessary, to conform with different practice conditions.
We cannot claim to serve in any but an advisory capacity and can
undertake no liability. Tests should be carried out in each individual
case before the work is started.
